Help Rose Bloom
On the 25th of March Rose was fortunate enough to have surgery under the expert hands of Dr. Pat Kiely and the wonderful team at Crumlin Childrens Hospital to have Magnetic Rods inserted to her back to correct the effects of Scoliosis. Thanks to the generosity of so many people with our fundraising Rose was able to avail of a significant amount of private intensive Physiotherapy which put her in very good physical shape for the surgery. The surgery went very well and Rose’s determination and bravery meant she was home within five days. Unfortunately due to Rose also suffering from SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) her recovery will take a lot longer than non SMA Scoliosis patients.Rose has already begun the long road of intensive physiotherapy to regain her strength and continue to deal with the effects of SMA.We are so grateful to Dr. Pat Kiely and the Team at Crumlin Children’s Hospital for the care and attention given to Rose.We are also very grateful to everyone who has helped us on this journey to date. Rose still has lots of obstacles to overcome but she is so happy and determined. ... See MoreSee Less
